FAQ's

Q: How do I establish After Hours Pediatrics as my Primary Care Provider (PCP)?

There are 2 ways to establish AHP as your PCP:

1. If your child is not yet born, please wait until your little bundle of joy arrives and then call our office to schedule a newborn appointment.

2. If your child is older, please have your child's medical records forwarded to our office.

Q: Who is on staff to care for my child at After Hours Pediatrics?

Every child is seen by a pediatrician, physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner on every visit.

Q: Does After Hours Pediatrics accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most major insurance plans including all New Mexico Medicaid plans. We also can accommodate cash visits. After Hours Pediatrics requires payment of Copays and Balances Due at Check-In.

Q: Should I make an appointment before bringing my child to After Hours Pediatrics?

We provide a full range of Pediatric Primary Care services. This includes well child checks and routine immunizations as well as more immediate care services such as injury treatment, laceration care (stitches, skin glue or staples), foreign body removal (nose, ears, skin) and breathing treatments. We’re also happy to perform your child’s school, sports, or camp physical.
